The History of Levi Strauss and Company

The first batches of Levi and Jacobs riveted overalls went out in June of 1873. The year after they hit the market, Levi Strauss was named by the New York Times as one of San Francisco's millionaires. In late 1876, another manufacturer H.W. King and company started making riveted goods as well.
