There was a real advantage to having this idea that you could piss off america so much it would send a massive army half way around the world. And i'm not saying that's a justification for it, but it's a benefit. But i do think we would be in that fight, if russia did it,. It sor of gets back to your original point about how why does russia get to be the one that's ambiguous about being scary, and not the united states of America? We don't need to relitigate them.
