What Should We Do in the End Days?
Gerard says we shouldn't try to fix the world through collective political action. Political action is almost always deceitful to justify violence or at least expulsion, he writes. But Gerard does not categorically reject political action, despite these downsides, because there are certain movements that are still worthy of engagement - perhaps freeing the slaves. He believes that nothing is left to be done on the political level.
