If breathing properly makes you healthier, would it not be true that if you had the wrong mix of CO2 and oxygen? So could it be that breathing normal is okay? Doing Huberman breathing is extra healthy, but wearing a mask for long periods of time for two years could get you a suboptimal mix. And some amount of variance in CO2 definitely wouldn't hurt you. I just don't know if the masks put it over some level.
