Is Sucralose a Good Anti-Aging Agent?
There are two NASA missions slated to go to Venus soon. There is ongoing volcanic activity while we'll be able to test those. High doses of the artificial sweetener sucralose, which is 600 times sweeter than sugar but yields zero calories when you eat it, reduce immune responses in mice. Karen Vowsten and Fabio Zani have found that the agent seems to affect the signals produced by immune T cells when they try to activate themselves to fight infections. They haven't looked in humans yet to see if the same thing could be happening in us.
