The Federal Fool Statement Statute Is a Real Trap for the Unweary
The federal fool statement statute is a real trap, because you can be charged with a five year felony for any misstatement made to any federal official. Even when the person interviewed actually lies to the agent, most people don't realize that that's a federal felony. And then muller and his people go in for the kill. Oh, they say, yes, we will prosecute you unless you cooperate with us and tell us what you know about trump and his various minions. But i don't see anybody on capital hill, or anybody in the white house looking to actually change it.
