The Importance of Speaking Up

Mary Chan grew up in Vancouver, a diverse community but was the minority. She says she didn't know how to react when people called her "Chinese" or made fun of her last name. Now that she's been on radio for more than 10 years, she has become an advocate for others who may be less fortunate and overlooked.
