Is There a Calvinist in Acts 13?
Buttatt: There would have been people at the time of jesus that, even in the calvinistic world view, were already regenerate. In other words, they were already believers and god fears. From our perspective, that would b cause they freely did so, and under their own responsibility. And thus to say that they have been appointed to eternal life, even from the calvinist active, would be true as well as our perspective. But Buttatt says he doesn't think it's a good idea to use 'appointed' or 'dismissed' The word is used for those who are already god fearers but haven't heard the gospel yet.
