The JVP in Mitral Regurgitation May Be Raised?
The JVP in pure mitral regurgitation may be raised. What you usually find if it's causing the JVP to be raised is that you've got co-existent tricuspid valve involvement. The actual pulse in the Crottine will either just show a normal pulse or a true fibrillation. Those prominent V-waves, I guess we'll come on to talk about them a bit later, but my understanding that it may indicate they've got a degree of pulmonary hypertension.
