The Neurological Effects of Blackouts
The blackouts that they describe is a phenomenon I've heard people talk about but actually I don't think it's really quite entered the neurological literature as a confounder. recognising it can just simply be a straight toxic effect of particularly very dramatic alcohol binge does change one's thinking a little bit. People need a nudge sometimes to from a medical professional to make that change so I think that this is implied really here but not necessarily explicitly set out how we would go about that.
