I'm curious about this word progress, because that's been part of our cultural narrative for decades. We can have a more black millionaires and billionaires, but we still have a widening wealth gap. And so it doesn't mean that we don't sort of recognize that progress. But at the same time, our progress oftentimes comes with back lashright? It's not a mistake wright that after the first black president was elected, that's when we saw that rise in those discriminatory voter idealos. You now see basically a an attempt to strip American citizens of their right to express their will for a better future through the vote.
