Is There a Commodity in Capitalist Societies?

I feel likeo, like critical theory land. The objection is usually that, like, ontologically speaking, it can't be commodities all the way down. I'd be interested to n what you think about that. Maybe the way to reconcile it is to saytatike, the commodity has a structuring function over everything, but it doesn't subsume everything without remainder right? Like it quantifies, and it seeks to quantify everything, but there's still a kind of qualitative element of life which isn't fully subsumable within that quantitative totality or makes sense. And i don't know if you would put it this way, but  life is never entirely or fully subs
