The Catch Up Growth Hypothesis
"The idea of catch up growth, um, it doesn't even make sense," he says. "There's no research looking at people who have been on an eight or 10 week program to see if there's still a fair amount of swelling within 48 hours after a training session" He adds that muscle thickness measurements by ultrasound can't differentiate between protein and fluid in the muscle.
