Sterling engines allow you to tap into potential energy sources and heat sources. So like if you have a natural gas furnace in some kind of factory, you could install a sterling engine as part of that. There is a small market out there for this kind of technology. Azaleo is one of those companies doing this. They make sterling engines that are used for thermal energy storage systems for like thermal solar.
