How does Spinoza interpret the gospels as something which were humanly then, you know, written? I think the earliest now we have is 60 years after the death of Christ. Would he hold to that or would he say that, understand that the words of Christ within the gospels are still pure?" This is really an excellent question. And the next time I read the treatise, which I will be doing again soon, I'll pay closer attention to this.
