Bryan garner is a writer and speaker of the english language. He has sold 13 million copies of his grammar book in 50 years. Strunk and white have sold ten million copies of their style manual. But i don't know exactly, but it's fewer than huings. The idea that anyone would write, much less pay money for a pronunciation guide, well, it's preposterous and preposterous. People used to feel uneasy about how they use the language. They didn't want to sound stupid or uneducated.
