Anti abortion groups say they didn't feel they even need to directly affect rove wade. What they saw this as is a way to make sure that this law did not get stopped in courttha the courts were all the way skirted from getting involved in this process. And they were right, cause, look, other states were spanned from enforcing this law. It has been a really strange legal journey for this because it was written to be aStrange legal journey for anyone who wanted to stop it.
Texas didn't just make it almost impossible to get an abortion, the state made it easy to sue somebody who gets one after about six weeks of pregnancy — and anyone who helps. KUT reporter Ashley Lopez explains.
