Canadian Real Estate Has Been in an Unsustainable Bubble Since 2000
The canadian housing insurance system was built in such a way that, unlike in the us, where it was semi private. So i said, housing inturns me mortgage. The conditions for tarp, were already built into the system. They didn't need to be created. And so what happened essentially is that the canadian housing market had more political flex built into it. It was able to bear more strain. But on the other hand, it then created a situation in which housing prices just never went down. After two thousand seven they just kept going up. And that's why canadian real estate has been in an unsustainable bubble since two thousand ten.
