Meditation and the Seven Homecomings
meditation has helped me deal with a whole kind of lifelong pattern of having suicidal thoughts, you know. And I found that what meditation gave me was not the ability to escape, but the ability to sit with those thoughts and to almost enter a space where they were present. So much of my training has been just imagining how to practice in certain situations; it's like role-playing. You have to start planning and strategizing before the moment happens.
