Free Play Is Where We Learn Our Place in the World
Free play is where we learn our place in the world. It's one of the most important things for psychological well being, to let your kids have free play. But now with recess being cut and kids hyper scheduled all day long, or for parents who can't afford after schol activities, people keep their kids indoors. And so if you don't get that sense of relatedness off line, you get on line.
