Behaviorism and the Cognitive Revolution

Behaviorism collapsed as a viable theory in around the 60s. The reason that behaviorism fell apart was because it wasn't good enough explaining certain kinds of behavior that certain animals would do so for instance monkeys trying to solve problems that weren't being rewarded with nuts. With the arrival of things like brain scanners then you've got more ability to look into how people are processing things on the inside  that might not result in behavior that you can see on the outside.
