Many capitalists and politicians that they own have been saying, prices are going up because the cost of labor is going up. That's why you hear this nonsense about labor's shortage. To talk about a labor shortage is to then lay the ground work for saying, well, have to pay the workers more cause there's a shortage. This is a lovely way to shift the blame. Capitalists want the benefit of raisin prices without the cost, without the lost business, without the bad publicity. And so blaming someone or blaming something is very popular.
