i knew way before i became got married and had kids that this was something that i needed to prioritize, because the world is not going to just give you child care for free. So many times i saw women coming out of h r six months pregnant, with tears in their eyes because they realize just how crappy theyr a, you know, no maternity leave policy, family policy, was. And i said to myself in my twenties, i will never let the system tell me how i can or cannot work, how i cannot raise my family. I chose on to peneorship largely for that reason.
