The Remains of Stalin's Library

Stalin read a lot of books that was a particularly exceptional kind of idea. We didn't really know the extent of his book collection and the depth of his engagement with reading books until after Soviet collapse early nineties onwards it becomes accessible to researchers. They're searching for some fundamental insights into Stalin's thinking through what through the notes he makes in the margin what he writes. Quite often they're looking they're looking for some kind of smoking gun which will prove their own their own pre existing theory or explanation of Stalin and Stalinism.
