Is There Too Many Rules?
We don't understand where the images came from, why they ere related to each other, what they mean. It just sort of permeates the whole movie with this psychological unease that i think it is hard to pin down and works tremendously to the movies advantage. If you pinned this down to an entity, or made more rules than there are, you would not. But this, there's so few rules, you can't outsmart it, right? Yesit ist a really interesting balance. Likeiit establishes a lot of strange things. like samara, she can burn images into different mediums, you know, like overhead projector papers, and also viatetapes
