The Importance of Listening in Conversations

"You can't really speak unless you can sort of you know respond to these things by understanding what's happening," he says. "And I think a lot of people run into the problem when like they're learning a new language and they're like okay I'm gonna memorize these phrases so that when I get to the hotel I can say that I want a room or a book to room" He adds: "I started kind of like playing around with this idea of focusing on listening for that purpose in particular."
