The new testament understands discipleship as participating in the fulness of his life. And that if we are going to truly participate in the life of christ, then mary is going to have to have a centre roll. The tipping point for me was the conversion of my wife. At that point i realized, ok, this is something i can't avoid any longer. So again, wasn't this dramatic a time for me to go?
