Doug is a hugely important piece of the UK's comic series puzzle, having co-created the iconic sci-fi comedy series Red Dwarf which was a mainstay of primetime viewing. It also made superstars of the cast who were all awesome in their own right. Doug's been involved in a lot of subsequent (and preceding) projects of course, including his book 'Sinbin Island' (aimed at the child readers among us). This is a lovely one with Brett and Doug, covering all sorts including the generation of new material so often, being an author, a potential "anti-dying on stage device" which can be applied to life itself, hidden and visible romance in Red Dwarf, his own personal 'bit of a nuisance' and how wearing gloves can be an early signifier of future writing adventures.
