Florida Governor DeSantis and the Assault on Public Education
Ron DeSantis has started his new term as governor of Florida by escalating his assault on public education specifically. He keeps pushing to enforce his Stop Woke Act, which he signed in the spring. In essence, basically, Florida is the place where Walt goes to die or some such cringy nonsense that DeSantis said in his inaugural address. So what's happening in Florida and why should we care even though no one outside Florida are directly affected?
