The Importance of Information in Democracy
Jay Rose: For those of us who do think that democracy depends upon an informed electorate, the realization that the press isn't in the business of really making us informed voters is a sobering one. But there, of course, is good journalism out there, and there are many outlets that do it. Unfortunately, it makes us all do a lot of work to go find this. So it's up to all of us, I suppose, is the message.
