Introduction

This week we are going to be considering Jesus' challenging words around oaths, promises. The text we'll be looking at is Matthew 5 verses 33-37. It's a call to fidelity and simplicity of speech. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings. We have been made in God's likeness. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?
