The Gospel According to Isaiah 53

The reading this morning is from the gospel according to Isaiah. The Lord Jesus must have landed Isaiah 53 by heart when he was probably the same age I was and perhaps even younger. And how wonderful that he committed himself to doing the will of his father, knowing that this would entail so much suffering. That surely makes us want to sing. Did air such love and sorrow meet dothorns compose so rich a crown?
