Heidi Lin says she didn't actively solicit Simonson's customers but she did tell them she was leaving and some of those clients eventually found their way to Hair Affair. Emily Olson worked as a regional director, overseeing all of Simonson's locations,. It was in that position that she got a sort of macro-level view of all the employees who wanted to leave but couldn't. She received a letter even before she had found a new job, reminding her of her promise not to compete.
