What Happened in the Garden, According to Genesis?

We're not saying you can go out into your woodshed and build a free will, or build the capacity to understand and respond to truth. No, we're saying, god, in his graciousness, created us with the ability to reason, to think, to deliberate and to understand right from wrong. So there's still responsibility of those outside the garden to respond in faith to the revelation in the light of god who comes to them outside their garden. We believe he does so sufficiently.
