The hero can be very comfortable in their routine or they could be desired for change. The soul is really just this automation robotic process that doesn't want to make the changes. So stagnation, not only in the physical, but in the mental and the spiritual, is always going to represent death. And what we're really looking at is their basic patterns of meaning and existence.
