Why Would King Swain Wait Three Years?
Huskarls were English, but their origin was linked to Scandinavia. Their position and style of combat being adopted about a half century earlier during the reign of Knut. Even if we assume the Danes were at Hastings, why would King Swain wait three years to launch a payback campaign? That doesn't make any sense.
