The Origins of Pangaea
Rocks on the seafloor sometimes contain this stuff called magnetite, which is very magnetic material. And they looked at the magnetic field of these rocks and they found this weird zebra striping. So there are all these weird things that nobody could explain. It was 1912 when a guy named Wegener first proposed this idea. He's like, I can explain all of these things with a simple idea that the continents were once altogether that they drifted apart. There were super continents like a billion years ago and two billion years ago. Pangaea is only the most recent super continent.
