The Importance of Bonding Longer Than Carbon
Scientists think that the longer bond length is what gives all those properties that are different than plastic. And also this is kind of complicated, but it's a slightly different angle of bonding than carbon. The heat resistance, the UV resistance, the gas permeability is because these bonds are longer, so they're a little bit more flexible.
