Chronology of the Assyrian Dynasty

Babylonian chronicles enable us to construct lists of rulers and key events back to most ancient times. Radio carbon dating has only been used in the middle east recently, and has not proved as useful as one might think. The whole dating structure is really held together with string and cellar tape. But the string is strong and the cellar tape sticky. Of course, there could be surprises from future discoveries but at the minute we can't worry about that.
