The Problem With Nastorianism
Cyril couldn't explain how you can have two complete natures in Christ without having two persons. Nastorius, on the other hand, believed that the logos did not simply assume flesh. He did not simply clothe himself with an animate human body. Rather, he had a human mind or soul as well. So think of the man Jesus being conceived in Mary's womb with both a body and a soul that are purely and merely human. And somehow the logos takes that man and makes him his own. That would be more than a story in view.
