The Role of Balance in Sport

I think that people often confuse balance and stability. If I have somebody who can't just single leg stand on a hard surface without any kind of input or element, it's not a balance problem, it's a stability problem. Once we get beyond that part of it, I think that balance is good for conscientiousness. It's making the athlete more cognizant or aware of what their body is doing or trying to do in space. So this is something that's very miniscule and almost any person I'm going to work with barring anybody who has clinical disease or surgical injury or anything like that.
