Is It a Misreading of Paul?

i think a lot of what's behind this is a very common protestant, reformationally driven, individualistic reading of paul. I don't think jesus is saying, thank goodness now when you die to night, you'll know you're going to heaven. And i think the word communal, not just individualistic. But look at what he did.
