There's probably at least 400 to 500 things floating in my Dropbox that probably will never be released. For this most recent record, Asphalt Meadows, two of both Roman candles and Here to Forever were songs that I wrote in the last month before I went in the studio. "If anybody was ever asking for advice as a songwriter, my central piece of advice would be never throw anything away," he says.
