The Difference Between Computational Universality and Explanatory Universality
Amsterdam and most of the Netherlands, I believe, would be underwater now if they weren't using technology to keep the place effectively afloat. They can teach the world how you stop being inundated by the ocean when you live adjacent to it. You could just build walls, couldn't you? That would be a simple low-tech solution to this.
