The First Catholics on Radio

In the old days, they did for the first 1000 years. It didn't develop until the feudal system occurred. The church was losing money because when the priest got married and died, the property stayed with the woman. And so therefore the church got all the property. So you got that thing a thousand years ago that you're not that excited about with the Catholic church. I think it would enrich the clergy by getting married to see all the problems and joys of marriage.
