Cranial Nerve Palsies and Eye Pain

Cranial nerve palsies can be due to compression there at the base of the, with all the nerves at the cranial base. Sometimes we see this in patients who have diabetes and small vessel disease in the area. Pain with eye movement is not usually something I think about with just a cranial nerve palsy. So having cranial nerve abnormalities plus pain with eye movement makes me worried that there's something else going on.
