The No Boundary Theory
Stephen Hawking once told me he thought that was his greatest discovery but of course he couldn't get it to work. He took this god's eye view on his own theory so I think he underestimated the his own theory just like Einstein did. Once we put ourselves inside and worked top-down worked exposed fact though the no boundary proposal does select a reasonable reasonable history but it comes with an ontological or epistemological consequence. You don't regard it as a transcendental prior truth that tells you how and why the universe was created but as a mechanism for essentially closing our past and let time disappear.
