The dark side of humanity is absolutely fascinating, i think we should be fascinated by it because we need to understand it. And so we isolate someone or an event, and a sacrificial victim happens, and then they're sent off into the wilderness as a way of expelling that tension. Ino a: I'm a great admirer of rene girard and his scapegoat theory, which is that we are naturally competitive creatures who contend for fixed resources with endless competition.
