The Importance of Taking a Text

I'm just kind of wondering, is this whole thing just being blown out of proportion in some discussions or threads? Does it even matter? I mean, especially for someone like you who's so well accomplished. And my stance on it right now is a lot of times I do analogy. What I usually tell them is that you can explore, but find something that really suits you first and really, really stick with that. Even if it's not with me, it's perfectly fine. Because the situation is that a tradition and even a grimoire, even though a lot of the classical ones share a lot, there's a lot of common elements.
