I see myself fighting for a liberal democracy. And again, democracies, it's not an electoral mob. It's not like we can vote. We are a constitutional democracy. The purpose of a constitution is to protect minorities against a majority. That's the purpose of international standards of human rights law. So I see myself standing at a liberal democracy over and against Christian nationalism,. Over and against illiberal progressive politicians who think Christians or Jews or Muslims are effectively somewhere between begrudgingly tolerated and enemies of the state.
